J. Tillman – Wild Honey / Black Barge 7”
Western Vinyl 2009

I hope I am not the only one who missed the news that Mr. J. Tillman is releasing a brand new 7” via Western Vinyl this November…the label writes the following:
“These two tiny songs, one being “Wild Honey Never Stolen” and the other being one called “Borne Away On A Black Barge” are little stories about a post-apocalypse landscape and a reworking of the last stand of King Arthur, respectively. Josh plays guitar, piano, bass, banjo, mandolin and a lot of drums and Bill Patton plays ukulele. This limited edition 70 gram 7″ record features original artwork by Toby Leibowitz.” (link)

Nice! I pre-ordered mine on the weekend. I have had Wild Honey for a while now, but I swear it is one of the best songs Tillman has recorded.
Also still waiting for my YITK vinyl as well….have to get all over these Western Vinyl guys…
S
sadly I don’t have money left this month to order my YITK vinyl (have to go along with the cd version…), but believe me, I would
But I’m puzzeled that no blog wrote about this 7” although I follow quite 160 blogs in Google Reader…I’m glad they had copies left and so I could pre order my copy as well (note to myself: the last expense for this month!!!). This 7” is surley a nice item to call a part of one’s own collection.
I didn’t hear about this either, WTF???
I even subscribe to J’s myspace blog, yikes, have I been asleep?
Sounds great. Thanks for posting!
